This fabulous Antique Victorian 18ct yellow gold locket and chain is outstanding.

Circa 1880.

A beautiful heart encrusted with natural pearls that compliment rich, green Emeralds.

The fine chain is 18ct gold and goes beautifully with the stunning locket.

Pearls have a wonderful lustre with a rich creamy tone, they are lovely lustrous and natural.

A pearl is composed of calcium carbonate in minute crystalline form, which has been deposited in concentric layers.

Emerald derives its beautiful green colour from the presence of chromium and vanadium.

The Emerald is the sacred stone of the goddess Venus, It was thought to preserve love. and has long been the symbol of hope.

There is a little locket in the reverse where you can add your own history.

The locket and chain have been tested with jewellers acid to confirm it is 18ct yellow gold.

This is all original Circa 1880.

A fabulous piece of Victorian jewellery that is steeped in English history, purchased from London.

The locket weighs 6.2 grams.

The chain measures 17 inches in length.
